The Founders

In 2013, shortly after moving to Nolensville, TN, Elmer and Anna Hill were devastated to learn that Anna had been diagnosed with breast cancer. As word spread about Anna’s diagnosis, they received an incredible outpouring of support from friends, family, neighbors, and even strangers.

Wanting to pay that generosity forward, they created Art From the Heart — a community-driven effort inspired by a painting of a cardinal, one of Elmer’s favorite birds and a symbol often associated with hope, protection, and healing.

What began as a simple fundraiser grew into a mission to support local families facing cancer by helping provide meals, house cleaning, lawn care, and practical day-to-day support during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Through the generosity of artists, donors, volunteers, and the Nolensville community, Art From the Heart continues to make a meaningful impact for families in need.
